Data Sovereignty
All our services can be delivered 100 % within the EU or Sweden. We ensure your data never leaves the jurisdiction you require.
Full control over where your data resides
Data sovereignty means you decide exactly where your data is stored, processed, and managed. With Molnkontakt, all of our services can be delivered entirely within the EU – or exclusively within Sweden – if your organisation requires it.
Why data sovereignty?
An increasing number of organisations demand control over where their data physically resides. Regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, Schrems II, and national security requirements mean that data sovereignty is no longer optional – it is a necessity for many businesses.
Every service – within your borders
Each service we offer can be configured to run exclusively on infrastructure within the EU or Sweden:
- Secure Workplace – Endpoint protection with local data processing
- Secure Communication – Email protection without data leaving the EU
- Secure Cloud Services – Monitoring and configuration control with EU-based storage
- Secure Storage – Encrypted storage on Swedish or European servers
- Attack Simulation – Testing performed and stored entirely within the chosen jurisdiction
European subcontractors and open source
When the customer requires it, we exclusively use European or Swedish subcontractors for services and software. We also offer solutions built on open source with no dependencies on non-European vendors – ensuring the entire supply chain stays within the jurisdiction you require.
AI – entirely in Swedish data centres
All of our AI-powered services can be delivered from our own Swedish data centres, with no dependencies on foreign companies. This means AI models, training data, and inference remain within Sweden’s borders. No data is sent to external cloud services or foreign AI providers. For organisations that require complete control over AI processing, we offer a fully domestic solution – from hardware to software.
How it works
We work with infrastructure providers that guarantee data storage within the EU and Sweden. Each customer environment can be tailored to your specific jurisdiction requirements – including the choice of subcontractors and software platforms. We document the entire chain for full transparency.
